Condoleezza Rice to the rescue?

The Bush administration announced today that Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will be going to the war torn Israel/Lebanon region and will be announcing a plan for a "diplomatic solution" to the problem. I you live in the region you better get the heck out of there fast. With this administrations diplomacy history you'll be lucky if there is a building left standing by the time they are through.

I know you think I'm just Bush bashing but just for fun lets take a trip down memory lane.

His often repeated campaign rhetoric of "I am a Uniter not a Divider" turn out to be the furthest thing from the truth. "Contrary to expectations, the incoming Bush administration made no attempt to develop a consensus administration, despite the exceedingly narrow margin of victory (due in no small way to the infamous Florida 'chads' and the US Supreme Court). "

Then there is the famous "Bring them on" diplomacy .

New Jersey Democratic Sen. Frank Lautenberg had this to say:

"I am shaking my head in disbelief. When I served in the army in Europe during World War II, I never heard any military commander — let alone the Commander-in-Chief — invite enemies to attack U.S. troops," said Lautenberg in a statement.

Then there is the strained relations with Russia. Strained relations with France and Germany. But at least the Administration is "winning the hearts and minds of the Mexican people.
